AutoCAD 2010 Advanced is the second in a series of courses in AutoCAD. While our initial course, AutoCAD 2010 Fundamentals, focuses on the basic tools to create a drawing and setup files, this course strives to make the student more proficient in his or her use of AutoCAD and introduces more advanced techniques.
The focus includes the following topics:
- Advanced Text Objects
- Creating Tables
- Defining dynamic blocks and attributes
- Using external reference files and image files
- Creating sheet sets
- CAD Management and System Setup
- Enhancing productivity with interface customization of AutoCAD
We assume in this class that the student is comfortable with the basics of creating an AutoCAD drawing as taught in AutoCAD 2010 Fundamentals. Our teaching strategy is to demonstrate the versatility of AutoCAD by showing a range of options to achieve a particular result, and to suggest where one option can be better than another under given circumstances. Our hope is that students will practice the topics and concepts discussed in this class, and apply them in ways appropriate for their work.
Prerequisites: AutoCAD 2010 Fundamentals (or equivalent) and at least 80 hours of experience with AutoCAD.
